Learn how to create an awesome abstractual valiant dot effect, this tutorial will definetly help expand your abstract creations.

Step 1: Start off with a new 400 x 400 pixel black document. Create some 65px feathered dots with the brush tool. Place them in random spots like below.


Step 2: Now go up to Filter > Distort > Wave, and use the settings like below. Now just keep hitting the randomize button till you get something similar like mine, you will never get the same results, so try to get something you like as well!


Step 3: Now create a new layer, go up to Filter > Render > Clouds, and than go up to Image > Adjustments > Levels (CTRL + L). Use the settings like below.


Step 4: Now set the new layers blending mode to "Darken." Merge both layers together, Layer > Merge Down (CTRL + E).


Step 5: Now change the color of the layer, Image > Adjustments > Hue / Saturation (CTRL + ALT + U), make sure you have the "colorize" box checked. Use the settings like below.


Step 6: Now duplicate the layer, and go up to Filter > Blur > Guassian Blur, use the settings below, and hit ok.


Step 7: Now put the blurred layers blending mode to "Color Dodge," and merge the layers together, and your done, now feel free to experiment!
