Learn how to create a three color glow without
those darn layer styles.
Step 1: Start off with a new 400x400px document and
fill the background "#243962" with a dark blue, and put some text up with
a darker blue "#0C1E40".
Step 2: Now click the background layer, and hit the "Create New
Layer" button to create a layer below the text layer, and select the new
empty layer. Now hold CTRL and click on the text layer to make a selection
around the text. Now with the text selected and the empty layer selected, go
up to Select -> Feather (Settings: 15px). If some popup comes up saying
it won't be visible, just ignore it.
Step 3: Now with that done, set your forground to a nice darkish
red "#B51424", and hit ALT + Backspace (not DEL). Hit it a few times till
you get a result like below.
Step 4: Now create a new layer above the one you just filled
with red. Select the new layer, and now change your foreground to "#E79913".
Now it's pretty much the same idea from here, CTRL and click on the text
layer again, and now go back up to Feather (CTRL + ALT + D) and this time put
in 8px. Now hit ALT + Backspace (not DEL), till you get a result you are
happy with.
Step 5: Same thing, but last time, create a new layer above the
orange layer, and CTRL + click on the text layer, Feather about 2px this
time, now use white as your foreground this time, and hit ALT + Backspace
again, till you get what you like, feel free to use different colors if you
would like, enjoy and hope this helped.
