Learn how to create your own abstractual rust effect!

Step 1: Start off by making a 450 x 350px document and fill the background black, grab your paint brush tool behind the pencil tool and make somedots all over like below.

Step 2: Now you should have only one layer (the background layer) with all kinds of white dots, now go up to Filter -> Stylize -> Emboss, and use the settings below.

Step 3: Now you should still have only one layer, go up to Filter -> Distort -> Wave, and use the settings below.

Step 4: Now go up to Image -> Adjustments -> Hue/Saturation, and use the settings below.

Step 5: Now take your brush tool and paint the outside pink/purple black, so you have something like below.

Step 6: Now duplicate the layer, and go up to Edit -> Transform -> Flip Vertical, than go back up again and Flip it Horizontal as well. With that done go back up to Filter -> Distort -> Wave and use the settings below.

Step 7: Now here comes the tricky part, with the newly create layer, go up to Filter -> Blur -> Radial Blur, Amount 50, Zoom, Best. Do that twice total and set the blending mode to Lighten. Now with the top layer selected go up to Layer -> Merge Down. Hope your not lost yet. Now duplicated this newly merged layer you have (you should have two layers total now). Now with new layer on top, go back up to Filter -> Distort -> Wave, and use the settings below.

Step 8: Now with the top layer selected, go up to Filter -> Blur -> Radial Blur, Amount 50, Zoom, Best, do this twice total. Than set the blending mode to Lighten once again ;). Don't worry it will get better soon.

Step 9: Duplicate the layer again and go up to Filter -> Brush Strokes -> Angeled Strokes, and use the settings below.

Step 10: Now go up to Edit -> Transform -> Flip Vertical, and set the blending mode to Hard Light. Of course merge the layers now (Layer -> Merge Down). Look where were getting now ;)

Step 11: Add anything else that comes to mind, make it a wallpaper if you want!
