Learn how to create a very dark red radial
blast, use your imagination with this!
Step 1: Start off with a new 400x400
px document now press d to reset your colors to defaults, now fill your background
in with black using the paint bucket tool or pressing (Ctrl + Backspace)
Step 2. Next goto Filter->Render->Clouds, Next Filter->Stylize->Glowing
Edges (Settings 3,18,15), now duplicate your layer (Ctrl + J) now with your
top layer selected, goto Filter->Blur->Radial->Blur (Settings 100,zoom,best),
now colorize your picture i choose dark red, now change your blending mode to
"Darken", next merge your layers down (Ctrl + E), now u should have somthing
like below.
Step 3. Next duplicate your layer (Ctrl + J), now with your top
layer selected goto Filter->Distort->Twirl (Settings 50), now change your blending
mode to "Lighten",Next merge your layers (Ctrl + E),Now u should have somthing
like below.
Step 4. Now Duplicate your layer (Ctrl + J), now with your top layer
selected goto Fukter->Blur->Gaussian Blur (Settings 6.0px),Next colorize your
picture (Ctrl + Alt + U), i used a dark blue, change your blending mode to "Color
Dodge", now merge your layers down (Ctrl + E), now u should have somthing like
below.
Step 5. Duplicate your layer (Ctrl + J), now with your top layer
selected goto Filter->Artistic->Neon Glow (Settings -1,44), now change your
blending mode to "Lighten", Merge your layers together (Ctl + E), Now u should
have somthing like below.
Step 6. Next Duplicate your layer (Ctrl + J), now with your top layer
selected goto Filter->Blur->Radial Blur (Settings 100,zoom,best), now colorize
(Ctrl + Alt + U) using the settings (360,65,0). Now change your blending mode
to "Linear Dodge", now merge your layers together. You should have somthing
like below.
Step 7. Now Duplicate your layer (Ctrl + J), now with your top layer
selected goto Filter->Blur->Gaussian Blur (Settings 6.0px), now change your
blending mode to "Linear Dodge" now merge your layers together (Ctrl + E) now
u should have somthing like below add some text and call it good.
