Learn how to create a cool radioactive neon green
filter effect.
Step 1: Start off with a new 400 x 400 px document, press "D"
on your keyboard to reset your colors. Make sure your background is black.
Place three lens flares like below all on the background layer.
Step 2: Filter > Distort > Wave, use my settings below. Remember you
will never get the exact results, just keep hitting random, your guarenteed
to get something close. :)
Step 3: Duplicate the layer. Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur (10px). Set
the blending mode to "Color Dodge," and change the Fill to 60%. Merge the
layers together (Ctrl + E).
Step 4: Duplicate the layer. Wave filter again, same settings, just
hit random till you get something similar.
Step 5: Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation (100, 100, 0, Colorize).
Duplicate the layer you just colorized. You should now have three layers.
Filter > Blur > Radial Blur (100, Zoom, Best). Do this twice on the newest
top layer. Change the blending mode of the top layer to "Lighten," and merge
that layer on to the other green layer below it (Ctrl + E). You now have
two layers, change the top layers blending mode to "Linear Dodge," and merge
the layers together. You should now only have one layer.
Step 6: Create a new layer on top of the current. Filter > Render >
Clouds. Filter > Sketch > Halfton Pattern (1, 5, Line). Set the blending
mode to "Overlay," and add some text.
