Learn how to take a photo, and give it a basic cell shading effect. This can be used in many different situations! Awesome effect.

Step 1: Open the image.


Step 2: Duplicate the layer, and go up to Filter > Stylize > Trace Contour.


Step 3: Invert the layer (CTRL + I), and than Desaturate, Image > Adjustments > Desaturate. (CTRL + Shift + U).


Step 4: Set the blending mode to "Overlay," and than Desature the photo as well. Usually the "Background" layer. If the outline effect is to strong, put the Fill down a bit.
