Learn how to create this beautiful effect in
a few simple steps and a stock photo of a cloud.
Step 1: Create a new document
400 x 400 pixels, with a white background. Take the gradient tool, and make
your foreground " 7b8e9f, " and your background white.
Step 2: I than took the gradient tool, and dragged a line from top
to bottom to achieve this effect.
Step 3: I than found a picture of clouds I would like to use for
this effect, which just so happens to be these ones.
Step 4: I placed the cloud image on top of the gradient, creating
a new layer, so you should now have this.
Step 5: With the cloud layer selected, I went up to Filter > Blur
> Motion Blur, and use these settings.
Step 5: I than put the layers blending mode on "Linear Light," and there
you go! Now feel free to experiment!
