Learn how to create an awesome matrix effect!
Great for wallpapers and abstract imagery.
Step 1: First start off by creating
a document 400 by 400 pixels and select your gradient tool. And use the settings
that I have below, now just start dragging lines all over. You should now have
something like this.
Step 2: Now just start dragging lines about half an inch across
the document so you get little bars like below. You will have to play with it
a little bit to get it right.
Step 3: Go up to Image -> Adjustments -> Hue/Saturation (Ctrl +
Alt + U). And use the settings I have below.
Step 4: Duplicate the layer and with the top layer selected go up
to Filter -> Brush Strokes -> Sumi-e. Now go up to Image -> Adjustments -> Hue/Saturation
(Ctrl + Alt + U) and use the settings that I have below. It should look something
like this.
Step 5: now with your top layer still selected go to your layer
blending modes tab and select Multiply. go up to Layer -> Merge Down (Ctrl +
E). It should look something like this.
Step 6: Duplicate the layer and with the top layer selected go up
to Filter -> Sketch -> Chrome. Then go to your blending modes tab and select
Color Dodge. Now with the top layer selected go up to Layer -> Merge Down (Ctrl
+ E). It should look something like this.
Step 7: Duplicate the layer and with the top layer selected go up
to Filter -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur. use the settings that I have below.
Step 8: Select the top layer and put the blending mode on Hard Light
and bring the Opacity down to 75%. Go up to Layer -> Merge Down (Ctrl + E).
This is what you should have.
Step 9: Slap some 3D in their and I would call it good.
