Create a galaxy star effect using various filters.
Step
1: Create new document 400x400 pixels.
Step 2: Now go to Filter->Render->Lens flar. use my settings.
Step 3: Now duplicate the layer and go to Filter->Artistic->Colored
Pencil. Use my settings.
Step 4: With the same layer slected go to Filter->blur->Radial blur.
25, Zoom.
Step 5:Now put the blending mode on lighten and you should have
something like below.
Step 6: Now Duplicate the layer and hit CTRL+ALT+U. use my settings.
Step 7:Now put the blending mode on screen(merge layers) .
Step 8: Now creating stars, Just DUplicate the layer and make it
black, then go up to Filter->Texture->Grain. Use my settings.
Step 9:Now hit CTRl+ALT+U and Turn the saturation all the way down.
Put the blending mode on Screen. Befor mergeing the layers Duplicate and
go to Filter->Blur->Gaussian blur. i used 2.5 but feel free to blur and
much as you want :).
