Create this cool bright headlight effect.
Step
1: start with a new 400x400px document, make the background black, then go up
to filter-render-lens flare (100%, 105mm prime), place it like below.
Step 2: now duplicate the layer (CTRL + J), with the new layer select,
go up to edit-transform-flip horizontal, than go back up and flip it vertical
as well. now put the blending mode on lighten, and merge the layer down
(CTRL + E). you should now have something like below.
Step 3: now duplicate the layer again, and flip the layer horizontal,
put the blending mode on lighten, and merge it down again. you should now have
something like below.
Step 4: now duplicate the layer again, and go up to filter-blur-motion
blur (settings: 241px). you should now have something like below.
Step 5: next go up to image-adjustments-levels (CTRL + L), and drag
the slider on the right to the left to brighten the image up, you should have
something like below.
Step 6: now put the layers blending mode to hard light, and merge
the layer down again.
Step 7: now duplicate the layer, and go up to edit-transform-rotate
90cw, you should have something like below now.
Step 8: now go up to filter-distort-spherize (100%, normal), and
put the blending mode on overlay, and merge the layer down again.
Step 9: now duplicate the layer and go up to filter-blur-radial
blur (50, zoom, best).
Step 10: now go up to filter-sharpen-sharpen more, do this 2 more
times.
Step 11: now go back up to radial blur, same settings, and bust
out image-adjustments-hue/saturation (CTRL + ALT + U), make sure the colorize
checkbox is CHECKED. i selected a yellow color (50,50,0).
Step 12: now put the blending mode to linear dodge, and merge the
layer down, add some text, and boom.
