Create an awesome abstractual explosion
effect in only five simple steps!
Step 1: Start with a new 400x400px document,
and fill the background black. Place two lens flares like below. (Filter
-> Render -> Lens Flare).
Step 2: Now go up to Filter -> Liquify, and alter the lens flares like
below.
Step 3: Now duplicate the layer, and go up to Edit -> Transform -> Rotate,
and just rotate the image any amount, probably a little more than 90 degrees.
Than set the blending mode to "Lighten" and merge the layer down by going
up to Layer -> Merge Down (CTRL + E).
Step 4: Now duplicate the layer again, and rotate the image again more
than 90 degrees, and put the blending mode to "Screen" this time, and merge
the layer down again.
Step 5: Now duplicate the layer again, and go up to Filter -> Distort
-> Spherize (Settings: 100%, Normal). And than go up to Image -> Adjusments
-> Hue/Saturation (Settings: 30, 65, 0) and check the "Colorize" box. And
set the blending mode to "Linear Dodge". Now go up to Filter -> Blur -> Radial
Blur (Settings: 100, Zoom, Best). Add some text, and do whatever you would
like next, good luck. Personally I think it looks best with the "Fill" at
80%.
